Hello! I am Chloe and I am a sophomore and this is my second On the Road trip. My first was in Wyoming and it was total fun! I am currently in Martha’s Vineyard. I arrived an hour or so ago. Let’s start the arrival journey!
My very first day was smooth as planned. I woke up all excited and ready to go. I got up and went straight to the shower. I had so much planned and I was getting ready. I was really eager to go already. I got my bed and stuff made and I went out and went to breakfast. I also spoke with some teachers before we left for the trip.
We all met up at the front building at 9 as we scattered around the building getting everything ready. I went to pick my medicine up. Waited for teachers to get ready to go, they finalized everything we needed for the trip. Jarmal, Frederick and I went and loaded the van up and had gotten ready to go. The seating arrangements were Jarmal and me in the back end. Middle rows were Frederick and Diana. The first row was Jane A. The passenger seat was Nancy Z. Anne N. was driving us.
All of us were really excited and I was starting to fall asleep. I was tired and the trip was almost 3 hours to Woods Hole, MA. Jarmal, Diana and me fell asleep fast when we started driving. Frederick was the only one who was up on the whole trip. We finally arrived at the ferry station and we were too early. We decided to visit some museum.
The museum was not open until the spring season in Woods Hole. We decided to go out and eat at Seafood Sam’s. I got Pasta plate with Chicken. Others got what they got. The teachers sat 2 tables behind us. We ate and finished up our foods as we threw it out. We were ready to go on the ferry. We drove to the station and we decided to wait for the ferry to bring us out to Martha’s Vineyard.
The station was about to let us on the ferry because we needed to bring our ASD van but the ferry was all packed with cars. We could not get in for an early trip to Martha’s Vineyard. We waited till 3:30 pm. We all fell asleep, even the teachers fell asleep. We finally had the ferry arrive for our trip. We boarded on the ferry with the ASD Van.
We got out of the van as we went upstairs to the balcony. The kids went to an outside part and it was FREEZING out! I even started shaking because it was cold! I decided to get inside the ferry. I went in and scrolled around my phone as the teachers started getting up because we were about to arrive onto the land of Martha’s Vineyard.
We all went on the van as we arrived at the station. We finally got out of the ferry as we started driving to the house we are renting. We had a bumpy road up the quiet neighborhood. We found the house and parked. We also unloaded the van and brought the bags and things in the house.
We all took a glance in the house seeing what it was like. We all liked it so we started talking about sleeping arrangements. Diana and I are rooming. Frederick and Jarmal are rooming while the teachers are rooming in one room. We all put our bags in our rooms.
I went down to the boy's room and caught Jarmal screaming because he saw a spider in the closet as we tried to make a bed for Frederick. Frederick decided to be the brave one and killed the spider but we didn't find it after he killed it.
I went out of the room and Nancy asked me for the food schedule planning. I went upstairs to grab my phone and went straight back downstairs. I handed the phone to have Anne see the menu. She wrote all the foods we needed down. The kids started to write our journal. This is the first day of ours in Martha’s Vineyard.
