Let me explain what happened last night before today. We finally completed our dinner, we had some spaghetti and sausage. It was good, thank you ANNE! After our dinner, we decided to play a new game called UNO Dare. Frederick won the game and we all did some funny dares. It was a fun game. ---------------------------------------------- I first woke up to Anne Nutt shaking me and then I woke up completely. I was still tired due to the long trip yesterday. I got up from my bed and went down to eat breakfast. I ate my food and then I went up to change my clothes for the day. I went to the room where I slept in and I made my bed. I looked to see if the upstairs bathroom was available but it wasn’t available so I went downstairs and saw the bathroom was open so I went right in. I went and brushed my teeth. I went back upstairs to put my shoes on and pack my bags. I decided to come down and saw Jarmal and Frederik packing their lunches for the day so after I went and made my lunch. I put my lunch in my bag. We packed up to go to our next destination. We got into the van and started getting out of our road. We stopped at Martha’s Vineyard Museum, it was recently open to the public from the hospital to rebuild the museum. It opened 2 weeks ago. It used to be a hospital for the island. It was so cool inside. We saw a lot of things in the museum, the first thing we saw and learned about the deaf community was strong in the Island of Martha’s Vineyard. I saw a painting that was famous from Thomas Benton and he painted about a deaf fisherman. It was very special and inspiring because it was in a museum with the origin of our culture. It was so cool to see the history of Martha’s Vineyard. Also, we would probably were the first people in the brand new museum. The museum had a history of ships, things used for the ship back then, and lighthouse lights. I also loved the arts of the museum. The painting was beautiful. After the museum, we went to the Gay Head Lighthouse but it changed to Aquinnah Lighthouse to honor the Native Americans and it was a beautiful view and very calming. The Atlantic Ocean was beautiful. We decided to walk down to the beach and it was hard for us to walk in but still, it was so beautiful to be walking into the beach. It was so breezy and chilly but so gorgeous to walk in. Jarmal and I were taking so many photos of the beach. The photos ended up so beautiful. The land of the Island was so beautiful compared to our homes in Connecticut. It was different from Connecticut roads because the roads were smaller on the island, there was not a lot of people here, and there were a lot of sailboats in the harbor. I also saw small houses and by the water, I saw a ferry leaving from the island to the Woods Hole. We were walking a long way out on the beach and saw Red Clay on the cliffs. We were so fascinated by the cliff because of the layers, color, and the Red Clay. We decided to walk back to the van and we finally got to the van. I got in first and the van was very hot and we were all in thirst of drinks. k We finally got to our road and we saw some cool houses and a library and it was a fun day. We finally got into the house to start the journal and some thinking maps. |
